SSD Running slightly slow

Can anybody figure out whats going on here

My SSD 160gb is runningg slower then it should, what I mean by slow is choppy, on webpages more then anything which is odd to me.  Plus file transfers etc, seems not quite as fast as it should be.

I have barely anything but my OS on this SSD, I have everything else installed on my HDD, I have CCleaner and done the checks on there.  I have JUST downloaded AVG PC TuneUp and it's doing the scans as I type.

Any other advice would be appreciated maybe this avg thing will help speed things up but at the moment it's running like a normal HDD, or even worse!

My computer comes on quick and turns off quick but when online etc it's dodgy like for an example when I type it takes a while for the text to come up, it's choppy as hell.

ok since messing about and a bit of googling, I had my SSD set to IDE in bios instead of AHCI, as soon as this was changed it's running like a dream! never knew anything about it! lol noob alert

a common problem Billy . A mate of mine purchased a 250 gig SSD to replace the existing sata drive in his laptop, and the laptop wouldnt recognize the SSD when it came to installing windows. He came to see me with his laptop, and the first thing I did was to check the bios to make sure that was set to recognize the SSD.  The laptop bios was set on IDE, so I changed it to AHCI and Bobs your uncle (or best mate) .

Lol I honestly had no idea about it, but had a problem with changing it lol i just turned off my computer turned it back on went into bios, saved the changes and went to boot up.. it wouldn't   

Some people online was saying you have to activate the AHCI on windows first but the solutions to that wasn't working for windows 10 so I had to go back to IDE boot up go into msconfig and boot it in safemode, change it again in bios then go back to msconfig, disable safe mode and was sorted lol What a difference though, should've googled/posted along time ago, knew something wasnt right haha!
