Problems with name change.

Hi all. LosDiablos (Steffi) cant add/change her clan name to show up on the VSOP server, regardless of her leaving the server and trying various other nicks. She's stuck with the nick ( Lossi ) for some reason. I did ask her to try changing her nick in her player/profile CFG file, but she cant remember how to do it.   Any suggestions as to why she cant change her nick would be gratefully appreciated  .

You can try this Steffi:  Open your Activision folder then click on call of duty 4-Modern warfare/players/profiles/Lossi or LosDiablos. then open the config_mp file using windows wordpad. Scroll down the cfg files till you see your clan name as per mine below:

If your name isn't set right in your cfg file Steffi, then change it to what it should be.  As shown in the example below:

seta m_side "0.25"
seta m_yaw "0.022"
seta monkeytoy "0"
seta name "!TTM!LosDiablos"

Dont forget to save the wordpad file after changing your name Steffi  . Wordpad may ask you if you wish to save the changes, so click yes.

thats really nice of you my Head , but i wantet to make some bindings too and in my folder Cod4 is no player map so that i cant set something

you must be using the game via steam then Steffi?. You can set your name in the lobby of the game by bringing up the console, then type /seta name "!TTM!LosDiablos"  then press enter.  It works Steffi as I did it using your tag/name, then I joined the VSOP server wearing your tags . You cant change your name whilst on the VSOP server, because name changing has been disabled.

Key binds are easy to do whilst either in game or in the game lobby, by using the console and commands. 
In the Console, type: /bind F11 say ^2Good Game
and hit [ENTER]. With F11 being the bind key used and Good Game being the message you want to say.
Take careful note of all spaces and characters used in the command. Missing or adding even one will cause the bind not to work.

You can change the color of any one letter, word or entire sentence by using the ^ key followed by a number. If you want to use multiple colors, simply repeat the process however many times you like.

Example: /bind f11 say ^1Good ^5Game
The ^ and number will disappear as soon as you type them, and everything typed after will be that color.
Color Codes:
^0 = Black
^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Blue
^5 = Light Blue
^6 = Purple
^7 = White
You must press the f key then the number key. dont press the actual f11 key when your typing in the command as the command wont work Steffi .
