Its that time of the year again all, to arrange a date during the Xmas period for a members/non members Xmas night.
We normally have it on Boxing day evening, but it can take place anytime during the Xmas period to suit the majority of us.
Depending on the number that want to take part, then we either can keep the server FFA or have two teams playing TDM.
All sugestions and ideas are welcome :).

27th is a sunday evening Tommy which will suit most players, so Sunday the 27th it is :).
Stinkypete has suggested a TDM night which I would also like, beings it will be fun and sort out the boys from the girls blouses ;D. I'll probably come last in whatever team I'm in, but its the taking part that really matters :).
oh i'm so glad you changed from Boxing day, the 3 main xmas days are manic here with it being Brandon's birthday xmas day as well but ill deffo be there on the 27th, so will Brandon i'm sure of it!
as for TDM sounds great idea and makes a nice change :)
All we need now is members to let us know here whether they intend to take part :). Myself and ToMMy will definetely be taking part, as long as ToMMy's armchair doesent bekons him to take a nap before the match :D ;D.

Teams to be arrange when we know exactly how many intend to play. The list will not include non clan members who join us on the night of course, plus there's only room for 10 players to each team. If we can muster up 20 players before the night, then I'll obviously lock and password the server :)

Is there any way I can install cod4 without the disk? I have the game activation code, I just don't have a disk drive on my pc lol.
Assuming you still have the game on cd/dvd Billy. buy yourself a usb dvd optic drive for £12 and use that to instal the game onto your pc. You will need to instal bittorrent to download the game. plus disable your antvirus program before attemting to instal the game onto your pc.
Alternatevely if you know a friend who has the game on cd/dvd, then instal the contents of the game cd/dvd onto a external hard drive or usb data stick. Then tranfer those files onto your pc :). iv used kinguin and cdkeys.com for many many years for games and never had a problem, saves a fortune compared to Steam prices :)
All in All, I really hope that you will all participate in this !TTM! annual event! This is a great opportunity to see people who are rarely able to spend some time with us. Ok I have changed the FFA server to TDM as this can take 20 player. There is 16 on the Xmas bash list, so we need the room, hopefully!!
The TDM server is set for FFA, This is mainly for the Xmas bash but if it's popular with the community it will stay.

Thanks ToMMy. It's definitely best that we cover any problems now that may arise on the evening of the bash, and changing servers over will eliminate the chance of us running out of player slots. However Its best if we change the servers back to how they were just after the bash, and that's mainly due to Andy (Slasher) hosting and paying the cost of our FFA server every month. Plus the odd few regular non community players that already know the IP, may not like the fact its changed to TDM ;D.
Oh by the way the new server is still PB enabled Tommy ;D. I've already created the custom command line to disable PB, so its just a case of switching to the custom command line when needed :D. Up there for thinking and down there for dancing Tom ;D ;D ;D.

That's a nice gesture Mark, but it wouldn't be the same without you ! Also the person I refer to will just be as happy to come on another night anyway and they like me wouldn't want anyone to give up there spot (even just for a map or 2) but again thanks for offering.

Dave, thanks for them links, got it sorted yesterday. :)
we will attempt to start around 7.30 this evening Billy, but no doubt it will be more like 8.00 by the time everyone has sorted out which side they want to play on. It's best if we all select auto assign and let the game select the teams. The bash will be played over 6 maps lasting 15 minutes each map, and i will set the final score to 800 rather than 750. It doesent matter if the marines or opfor win every map lol, its the fun of taking part that really counts :)
Just don't put me on the team of pros, I'll be bloody terrible Rob ;D lol but yeah auto assign sounds good :)

Whilst I'm here, what's the schedule these days, do you regulars still play every night or is it now just a certain couple of nights per week? I'd like to get back into it now it's installed, (took long enough didn't it) ;D
Some of us play on the ffa server every night billy, but most dont go on till 8 or after. Over the past week the ffa server has been fab with several unknown players joining the server, and last night we were still playing till just gone midnight :D. Lets just hope the influx of new players continue and our servers get populated again. If the TDM server becomes full tonight, then Tommy will jump on the FFA server and change that to TDM as well if needed ;D.

I'll try and make it on most nights now it's installed Rob, might just be for an odd hour or so but i'll be about.

I just want to thank everyone that took part, and as far as i'm concerned it was a fantastic night apart from the lag bouts we had :).
I've issued another recorded lag report to GTX Gaming and asked them to move the server to another UK data centre which may result in a possible server IP change, but at least our server settings ect are safe and can be transfered to another server/data centre.
It was quite bad at times to be honest, so that sounds good Robert. I would make a backup of the server Cfgs if you haven't already though just incase.

Hi all. Yes we can do another xmas bash night this year, and i'm positive Zed and Taffy will join us. it just needs someone to choose a date and time that will suit all :).
